Day 6

Day Six of the Pandemic Lockdown Diaries…

Ventured out of the yard today, to visit the police station due to the fact that I have an emergency doctor’s appointment at Pretoria East Hospital tomorrow…

After phoning the COVID-19 hotline yesterday, I was told that this would need either an official permit or affidavit.

On the way to the police station we will saw a chicken crossing the road and I believe we finally have an answer to why he would do so. Turns out he was just trying to get back to his own yard; also apparently chickens care not much for self-isolation.

I feel like I would be doing the story a grave injustice if I forgot the part when I arrived at the police station wearing latex gloves and a purple Hello Kitty face mask…

Once at the police station I didn’t even make it so far as the door with the constable on hand hygiene duty informing me that letter that I had received from the doctor would be sufficient.

As I thanked him and went on my way, I was reminded once again of something my dear friend, Misha always says “Visit your local police station, before they visit you.”.

Stay safe, keep fighting and always remember KINDNESS CHANGES EVERYTHING
